Frequently Asked Questions

What imaging formats do you accept?

We accept OCT scans, Humphrey Visual Field (HVF) reports, fundus photographs, and referral letters. Common file formats include JPEG, PNG, PDF, and DICOM. Maximum file size is 50MB per file.

How is my data protected?

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Files are stored in secure cloud storage with Australian data residency. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles.

Who reviews my case?

All cases are reviewed by fellowship-trained ophthalmologists with relevant subspecialty expertise. Specialists are matched to cases based on the clinical presentation.

Is this a replacement for seeing an ophthalmologist?

No. SynapseVision provides specialist decision support — an independent review to help inform clinical decisions. It does not replace an in-person consultation with a treating clinician.

Can I get a refund?

If your case cannot be reviewed due to insufficient clinical data, we will contact you to request additional information. Refunds are available if a review cannot be completed.
