SynapseVision provides ophthalmology decision support services. The Clinical Decision Reports generated through this platform are advisory in nature and represent the independent clinical opinion of the reviewing specialist based on the information provided.
SynapseVision does not replace an in-person consultation with a treating ophthalmologist or other qualified healthcare provider. Reports should be considered alongside — not instead of — the clinical assessment of your treating practitioner. Clinical decisions regarding treatment should always be made in consultation with a treating clinician who has examined you in person.
Use of SynapseVision does not establish a doctor-patient relationship between you and the reviewing specialist. The reviewing specialist provides an opinion based solely on the clinical data submitted through the platform.
Remote review of clinical data has inherent limitations. The reviewing specialist does not have the benefit of a physical examination, slit-lamp assessment, or real-time interaction with the patient. The accuracy and completeness of the report depends on the quality and completeness of the clinical data provided.
SynapseVision is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing an ophthalmic emergency — including sudden vision loss, acute eye pain, chemical injury, or trauma — please contact your nearest emergency department or call 000 immediately.
You are responsible for ensuring that all clinical information and imaging submitted through the platform is accurate, complete, and relates to the correct patient. Incomplete or inaccurate information may affect the quality of the specialist's assessment.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SynapseVision and its reviewing specialists shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from reliance on the Clinical Decision Report, including but not limited to decisions made regarding treatment or management of an ophthalmic condition.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising from the use of this platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
